(Actually, I did it twice last night.) It&#8217;s a great workout, and  it&#8217;s already having a positive impact on my shooting. The &#8220;shooting with with your eyes closed&#8221; portion is especially valuable, just a very efficient way to build and improve index. The Venti will continue to be a normal part of my every range session for the foreseeable future, quite possibly forever.<\/p>\n<p>Having said that, if you&#8217;re planning on shooting this drill, I have to warn you, it&#8217;s not as easy, or as fun, as Travis makes it look in the video. There is a very steep learning curve here.<\/p>\n<p>One of the reasons this drill is so valuable is that it requires an EXTREMELY high level of mental focus. There is a reason that Travis &#8211; and I can only assume he&#8217;s been doing it for years &#8211; keeps saying in the video, &#8220;Take a break if you need to.&#8221; Even he has to take periodic breaks while running this drill. So do I. &#8220;Break&#8221; meaning &#8220;Get the gun down out of your face, take a few breaths, relax your eyes and your body and your mind, then get back into it.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have run the Venti 100-shot drill my last three range sessions.
